Veneno
is a magnificent buckskin Lusitano from
Brazil
destined to be a grand prix horse. He has a gentle kind disposition,
good mind, and willing attitude.
He was gelded so he could offer his best
in his showing career.
His
bloodlines are much sought after.
His legendary sire, Othello do Retiro (by
Dardo II) is one of Eduardo Fischer’s Flagship sires and is well known
as one of the world’s best Perlinos.
Dardo II is featured in”Veiga Horses” by
Alberto Barreto.
Pantera HI, Veneno’s dam, has an equally
impressive pedigree as her sire is the famous Afiancado de Flandes,
sire of Mistral do Top.
Because
of Veneno’s beauty and charisma, he has been a favorite subject of
national and international professional photographers.
He graces many calendars in the
U.S.
and in Europe.
World-renowned
photographer, Gabriele Boisell, featured
him in a DVD “Journeys & Photoseminars Florida”.
He is the poster boy for several
commercial products and advertisements.
Juan Carlos Altamirano of
Spain
featured Veneno in his new book about the Lusitano breed
“El Caballo Lusitano”.

Veneno is trained in classical dressage, showing 3rd
level and training 4th level.
He has the talent and show presence to be a grand
prix horse. He has
the lightness and elegance, floating trot, good athletic
walk, and canter with suspension desired in the higher
levels of dressage.
He is an exceptional horse with nobility of mind with a
kind temperament. |

The Alter Real line was
founded in the 18th century by the Braganza royal family of Portugal
for the purpose of supplying the royal stables in Lisbon with suitable
high school and carriage horses. The Alter Real horses became
respected all over Portugal and Spain for classical equitation. The
stable continues today as a state-owned breeding facility for
equitation and dressage horses. To our knowledge, Exaustivo is the
only 100% Alter Real stallion in the Americas.
Exaustivo exhibits the superb athletic ability and collection that
makes the Alter Real horses excel at high level dressage movements. He
has also proven his ability to pass on his athletic ability, fluid
movement, kind willing temperament, and regal presence to his foals.
We retired him from showing in 2004 and now offer him for stud to
outside mares. |

We ship semen all over the
United States with successful results but we don't always get to see
his babies. Kim Robare, Maryland, bred her Lusitano mare to Exaustivo
and she was kind enough to send us a picture of her beautiful colt
Donato. |
